Multiple DJ Amplifiers Connection Diagram in Stereo Mode

Hi, in this article, we are going to see the Multiple DJ Amplifiers Connection Diagram in Stereo Mode. Connecting multiple DJ amplifiers in stereo mode is required to achieve higher power output or to distribute sound to multiple speakers in a stereo setup. If you are playing music in a large venue or at an outdoor event, you may need more power to adequately cover the space with sound.

By connecting multiple amplifiers in stereo mode, you can distribute the workload among them, resulting in higher overall power output. In setups where you have multiple speakers spread out across a venue, connecting multiple amplifiers in stereo allows you to route the left and right channels to different areas, providing a more balanced and immersive listening experience for the audience.

Using multiple amplifiers also helps for backup. If one amplifier were to fail during a performance, having another amplifier connected and ready to take over can ensure that the music continues without interruption. Connecting multiple amplifiers in stereo mode offers flexibility in terms of system configuration. You can adjust the volume levels and EQ settings independently for each amplifier, allowing for fine-tuning of the sound to suit the venue and audience preferences.

Connection Diagram(Amplifier to Amplifier Connection)

Here, you can see the wiring diagram for connecting multiple DJ amplifiers with Mixer and speakers to operate in Stereo Mode.

Multiple DJ Amplifiers Connection

Connection Procedure

First of all, the output of the Audio Mixer is connected to the input of the amplifier 1. The left channel output from the audio mixer is connected to the Channel 1 Input of the amplifier 1 which means here we have used the channel 1 module of the amplifier 1 as the left channel. Similarly, the right channel output from the audio mixer is connected to the Channel 2 Input of the amplifier 1 which means here we have used the channel 2 module of the amplifier 1 as the right channel. Remember that here we have connected the amplifier to the mixer using XLR cables. Your devices may have different types of ports or connectors so use that type of cables as per your devices have.

Now connect another amplifier. The channel 1 output from the amplifier 1 is connected to the Channel 1 Input of the Amplifier 2. Similarly, the channel 2 output from the amplifier 1 is connected to the Channel 2 Input of the amplifier 2. By following the same method you can use the output of the amplifier 2 to connect another amplifier. So in this way, you can connect multiple amplifiers.

Now, the connection between speaker and amplifier. As we used the channel 1 module of all the amplifiers as the left channel so we have connected all the left-side speakers or DJ boxes to the channel 1 output of all the respected amplifiers. Similarly, as we used the channel 2 module of all the amplifiers as the right channel so we have connected all the right side speakers or DJ boxes to the channel 2 output of all the respected amplifiers. Here also, remember that we have used Speakon cables to connect speakers to the amplifier. Connect your devices using cables whatever your devices have.

In the above wiring diagram, you can see that all the amplifiers and mixers are connected to the power supply through a stabilizer to protect the devices from low voltage, voltage fluctuation, and other voltage-related problems.

Connection Diagram(Using Signal Splitter)

In this method, we use a signal splitter to connect all the amplifiers instead of connecting amplifier to amplifier.

Multiple Amplifiers Connection

Connection Procedure

Here, we need to connect the mixer output to the signal splitter input. And all the amplifiers should be connected to the output of the signal splitter. You can see the left channel output from the audio mixer is connected to the Channel 1 Input of the signal splitter which means here we have used channel 1 of the signal splitter as the left channel. Similarly, the right channel output from the audio mixer is connected to the Channel 2 Input of the signal splitter which means here we have used channel 2 of the signal splitter 1 as the right channel.

Now Channel 1 Input of all the amplifiers are connected to the Channel 1 output of the signal splitter. Similarly, the Channel 2 Input of all the amplifiers are connected to the channel 2 output of the signal splitter.

In this method, rest all the speaker's connections and power connections are the same as the previous method.

Settings

To operate this whole system in Stereo Mode, you must need to configure some settings in your Amplifier and Mixer.

In your all the amplifiers, keep the "Operation Mode Switch" in the Stereo Position.

In your mixer, keep the "Pan Knob" at just the middle position.

**These settings are applicable for both methods**
